those pictures look awesome, your brother knows what he's doing, and the bike looks fantastic. Love the colors.

I hate to sound like your mother, and I applaud you for the helmet and the jacket, but if god forbid you do have a wreck on that thing with those jeans and those shoes, it's gonna be real ugly. Too many people underestimate the importance and fragility of their feet.

I feel like people are probably going to give me funny looks when they see me on a harley wearing sport bike-style leathers with elbow, shoulder, back armor, full face helmet, etc. I'd rather look funny and walk away from a wreck than die stylish.

Those BS leather jackets most cruiser riders wear are worthless, I had one spill with one of those and the sleeve slid all the way up past my elbow, exposing my forearm for instantaneous skin removal. Last time I make that mistake.

I know the feeling I had a suzuki m109r (1700 cc), and I layed it over on a turn at about 55. It's an 800+ pound bike, and I rolled it over multiple times down the side of a hill. I was wearing full gear, so I walked away with a rub-burned elbow, and a bruised knee.

for that wreck I was on a DRZ400SM, so only about a 350lb bike, but like you I was doing about 55mph in a turn, hit some gravel, slid, then high sided and ended up about 30 feet from the road in a combination of aerial maneuvers that occured so quickly I didn't have time to make note of what they were.

Got up and my first instinct was to look and make sure no one saw then I walked over to the bike, picked it up and rode the rest of the way home. It wasn't until I got home and took off my jacket that I saw how bad the road rash was, and that I had a lump on my wrist that turned out to be a fractured radius.

LOW 9's? Not with out modding. The pro's hit high 9's at best on that bike.
