Who else here on the ranger station loves their ranger ?

old thread but came across it so I'm going to post anyway especially considering the circumstances.

The ranger I have currently my grandpa bought new back in 1998 and told me at the time (I was 7) one day it will be mine. Well, he signed it over to me in 2021 after he had to stop driving. Well, he passed away this past Tuesday. So this truck means more to me than anything. I would sell our house before I let this truck go

I;m keeping mine, maybe gifting my grandson with it someday

I and my older brother bought this 2002 4WD Ranger XLT for our Dad. It had been owned by the State of Missouri and had 45,000 miles on it. We had to send Dad to the nursing home after Mom suddenly died.
He did not want to go but was ok with it when we told him he could take his TV, his recliner, and his Ranger to the nursing home.
My two brothers gave me the Ranger, which I needed, after Dad died.
I'm taking this Ranger and my '75 Ranchero with me to the nursing home!

A lot of people asked me why I put a small block Chev in my Ranger and my standard reply is I wouldn't trade my Ranger for a dozen S-10s. Ranger is way easier to put ANY engine in, there's more headroom in the cab for a big guy like me and a rollbar to peacefully co-exist, it has more robust front suspension and it's way better looking than those stupid little Chev trucks. I already had engine/transmission and I got a smoking deal on the Ranger as a roller and it was already set up for a SBC.
