Like a dummy I forgot to grab the flywheel bolts from the guys that I got the 5spd and other parts from. I have come up short with the local part store and haven't had much luck online either, any suggestions?? Thanks

I got mine from the Ford dealer for about $5 or $6 each. I'm sure many at TRS have them laying around and would sell them reasonably. Be sure to put medium thread locker on them when installing. The pressure plate bolts don't need thread locker however. Oh, and specify if you need 6 or 8 of them.:icon_cheers:

You may have another hidden conflict....

You are working on your 1997, Right?

Many 1997 Rangers have the later shortblock assembly and need
a flywheel with EIGHT bolt holes (and the Torx head bolts)

The early 1997's used the same flywheel bolts as all earlier 2.9's and even some 2.8 engines with 17mm heads, but they only use SIX of them....

Actually I am working on the BII with the 2.9 But thanks for that info as I plan to be swaping out the 5R55E in my '97 for a M5OD.
