I recently did a manual Tranny swap on my 88 ranger for a fm146. Tranny came with no shift knob. Ford dealer says they're discontinued. Put on a cheap auto zone universal one, its junk. I want a factory shift knob. All the pick n pulls around have lots full of automatics, any manuals I've found are either missing the Tranny or the knob. None on eBay, Jc Whitney, Amazon, etc.

Do you just want the knob, or do you need the whole lever?

I can get knobs easy enough. The whole lever is harder to come by.

Just the factory knob with the pattern on top. I think its an insert that's actually a different part number. I have the lever, just no knob

Yeah I have the same problem LOL. PO put a junk knob on mine and it comes off when hard shifting into 2nd and 4th. Not to mention its so loose it will jiggle around when driving its pretty annoying. My T-Case knob is original just really loose as well I may just try to epoxy it if the weather ever warms up.
