Where the heck is the oxygen sensor ??

On an 89 V6 2.9 liter engine. Trying to find it to wrap foil around it, a little better gas mileage by fooling the computer ?

Foil around the tip inside the pipe? Wouldn't that be the same as clogging an o2 sensor which would cause it to run pig rich?

Not finding the oxygen sensor is the best thing that could happen.

Well, the pipe is down a long time, no more Captain Black : - ) What this is reported to do is fool the computer into thinking its running richer than it is and subsequently lean the mix SLIGHTLY for a bit better gas mileage. Personally, I'd prefer to burn the gas in the engine and not the cat. : - )
Does it work ? Dont know, didnt try it yet..

What gas milage are you getting? I really dont think you can bitch unless you're getting what Im averaging at 15mpg... With your 2wd street rig your milage can't be all that bad...
If it ain't broke don't fix it...

hmm, who knew that a man with some foil could rig somthing up to improve milage....you would that that, after the millions of dollers spent designing things,all they needed was a few bucks for a rool of foil

Yeah, it would set some tongues wagging if it would work. I'll know in a couple of days. I know most would simply lie back and relax but can you imagine where we would be if everyone just sat back and let " someone else " did it ? Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble ring any bells ?
