What's your top speed?

Well im not fair as thats was on 13 pounds through 2nd and then 18 in 3rd 4th and 5th

I have had my 94 ranger with 31" tires, 4.10 gears ,5 spd tranny up to 92:icon_thumby: & thats according to the GPS system on my Clarion Stereo & previous top speed was 77 according to Wa. state Patrol:shok::icon_confused: As I had just been passed by a newer mustang

2.3 3.45 gearing and 30 inch tires, I can run about 90 on a flat stretch, and about 30 up a steep hill lol

Well yes mini I would say that gives you a slight advantage. I would love to turbo the beater. But cant make up my mind if I want the whistle...or the growl of a v8. I was told that a 2.3 pushing around 10-12 lbs is about the same hp as a stock 302. That sound bout right?

LOL,i already got a whistle in mine with that stupid plastic idler pulley the factory put in mine.

Yes it does with an intercooler and factory ecm.. but jump the boost to 18 bigger injector tune and a mass air and your haulin balls... Literally you can haul big balls...

I am trying to find out if I can run my stock computer and MAF with a turbo setup by getting my stock computer tuned to run the turbo. I got the basics down for the swap like forged pistons, turbo, piping, intercooler but have questions about using my stock computer and MAF and as well as alot of wiring questions.

My company truck has a GPS tracker in it that emails my manager if I go over 80 for more than 2 minutes.

So out of habit I never take my Ranger over that either.

Well that just blows the fun of thrashing a work truck, dont it?

Not a huge deal, most of the fun stuff happens under 80 anyway :icon_thumby:

The best part, it's a Chevy so nobody will think much if the transmission breaks before 100k

Hey now, I lean towards GM as my "favorite" truck. I am, however, a car lover so I love em all...for the most part. And yes, GM was disgraced with the almighty 700r4 which is best used as a boat anchor. Granted some may have had success with them...but I put 7 of em into my 88 silverado before calling it quites and getting my '97 sierra. And you are right, the fun is under 80...unless your going 5 but showing 85...then it can be interesting.

I did that all winter long. 2wd open diff, 3 feet of snow on the ground and getting paid to wait for a tow truck if you get stuck? :yahoo: Priceless!
