Whats broke on your ranger

Hmmm what's broken on my 1st gen Rangers....

1. the Fuel sender in the gas tank...reads "E" now

2. AC compressor

3. Wiper arm linkage in the cowl

4. That retaining bolt for the spare tire(we had to twist if off to get the needed spare)

5. The Lock cylinder gear box(wore out and jammed up)

6. Windshield

7. Hubcap retaining ring

8. Rear View mirror adhesive

9. Plastic Grill

I need window seals, new carpet, shocks and figure out the wiring...

I found two fuseable links that have been severed tonight. Plus I'm trying to find out what the black plug is that comes from the same loom as the wires for the knock sensor.

Biggest one of all..My warm start issue:pissedoff::pissedoff::pissedoff:

Starts fine 30 seconds in or so the RPM's start bouncing and it starts running very rich. Give it gas, it misfires, clears up and never does it again until you shut it off.:bawling:

Every electronic sensor under the hood has been tested with a spare or replaced. All are doing what they should voltage and resistance wise...I dont know what the hell is going on.:dunno:

clunky noises on front suspension. the oil pressure gauge wont go up until the truck is warm(sender) and the tires are bald lol

Crap. I thought I'd gotten everything, then frigging RSH has to remind me of the front end clunk. I think it's my sway bar bushings since I can see between them and the sway bars. Doh.

maybe that could be a sign of slight wear

A leak in the EVAP system, likely from the top of the tank that causes a rough idle. Still runs and drives well though, but the mileage has been rather disappointing.

The knob's on all my heater vents dont work, have to stick a screw driver in the vent to open/close/move them.

Fuel issue. Once i get that figured out who knows what else will come up.

Windshield leaks, no e brake, no horn, no reverse lights, power locks broken, rear view mirror fell off, missing lumbar air bag in driver's seat.

engine/ transmission.

interiors gutted

need new carpet

need new headliner

need new brake calipers (someone seems to have helped themselves to my brand new ones)

rusted out rad support

The only thing that does not work is the gas gauge. I replaced the auto trans with a Mazda 5 speed a couple years ago and was expecting some troubles which never materialized. If anything the Ranger runs better as time goes on.

pretty decent size oil leak on the drivers side valve cover. (tearing into that right now, have the truck apart and am replacing the lower intake and fuel rail gaskets as well) also turns out both valve covers are rusted through! glad I got some at the u pull yard. Painted them up Ford Blue.

Here are some pics of the valve covers:

Check engine light is on. need to check that out.
ABS light is on. I noticed that alot of my oil from the above issue is coating the abs controller under the truck... maybe a correlation... will have to check the connector and clean it with some electrical cleaner..

if I top off the tank sometimes the fuel leaks out. possibly my CEL issue...

needs ball joints.

auto hub on passenger side is shot. I have the manual hubs and conversion kit, just have not gotten around to changing them out.

repainted the grille earlier this summer, so it looks decent now.
need to chrome clean the bumper to remove some rust.
