First car I got to call my own, even though it wasn't, was a 69 Mustang fastback. Had a 351C w/4bbl heads, C-6 and was a bad-ass mother. I had over $2000 in the motor, and this was all parts and machine work. And it was in the 80's. First car I purchased was a 72 Torino, also with a 351C.

First car: 91 Ranger 4x4 (the reason I found/joined this site) Never drove it.
First running car: 87 Mazda B2000
First actual car: 64 Falcon 2dr. hartop

My 94 ranger. Its my DD/trail rig, and my only vehicle for now.= "poor college student" Probably the craziest thing thats happened to me in it was driveng home on my narrow dirt road. It had just snowed about two feet and the county hadnt plowed my road yet. So I was going around a blind right conner going roughly ten mph and hit a patch of ice under the snow. Usually wouldnt have been a problem but, my neibor just so happened to be coming around the bend at that exact moment. I slid into her very small subaru, and my truck drove up onto the hood of her car and the tires stopped right at the widsheald of her car.

Mind you I live in the rocky mountains of colorado, and the back roads are well........INTERESTING.

Lot of body damage to her car. Broke the shaft out of my steering box on my truck. Other than the steering box my truck was fine. I had to buy my neibor a new hood, fenders, head lights, blinkers, and front bumper. That was the only crash I have ever been in. I would say I wasnt having a "good day".

I just upgrade for the first time from my first car. It was a 1987 Dodge Aries 4 door, manual that my dad bought me 11 years ago when I was 22 years old. Couple weeks ago I bought my first new vehicle: 2008 Ford Ranger and I'm loving it. Having been mostly satisfied with my K-Car for 11 years, I seriously can't see myself wanting anything else but this great little truck for many years to come. The only thing I can think of that would make me consider replacing it would be if I could trade it in for a 2.3L supercab or if I start making enough money that gas prices don't matter to me - in which case, I'd get a 4L 4x4 supercab.

My first was a 1987 Buick Century Custom with the good ol' "Iron Duke" I4. It was basically a tractor engine with emission controls..... cast iron block and cast iron heads. It pretty much turned into a rat rod.

True about the duke, cept when you add a turbo, but ya cant make over 125hp on stock internals... I learned that the hard way.

My first car was a 1971 Ford Pinto! Got it for $175 from some old lady that had always taken it to the dealer for servicing. She was a good car and looked sweet too:D
