What was your 1st car?

89 Ranger reg cab short bed 2wd 2.3 5 speed nick named "Shard stain" by my freinds, drove it for 6 months before getting my B2, beat the ever living shit out of it, it's my dads truck and he still drives it every day to work over 70 miles round trip, most reliable cheapest to operate rig he's ever had. I still hate it and beat it whenever I have to drive it.

1st car-1974 dodge dart sport and still have it waiting to restore it.

2nd car- 1971 ford maverick and i still have it and right now its in my dads shop. Him and i are restoring it.

3rd car- 1988 ford ranger getting some electrical problem fixed.

1st- My SAS ranger, got it in 04' as payment for 4 years of harvesting crops for my grandfather....(I thought it was fun???)

2nd- 00' Explorer sport, 4.0L 5 speed w/4.10's and 29"tires and AWD....It went pretty damn good. Bought it so I could park the ranger for the SAS. Put 14,000kms on it and didn't loose a dime when I sold it.

3rd- 97'F150 excab shortbed 2wd auto 4.6L. Pedal to the floor every light and averaged 18mpg city driving....Bought for $2000 from parents when my mom bought a tacoma with 198,xxxkms sold it with 236xxxkms for $3000

4th- 97' ranger reg cab long bed 4.0L 5 spd 4wd, 127xxxkm. Barebones, but fun as hell. Loved the 7'box and wish I never got rid of it.....bought for $1500 and sold for $2800. stupid ass kid I sold it too blew the motor in less then 5000 kms of driving, 3rd blown motor and 4 vehicles after driving for a year...I'm swapping a used motor in it this week actually.

Now I'm back to driving Big Greenie....

My first car was a 1980 Pinto 2.3L 4 speed. Sold it and no idea what happened to it after that. Second was a 1984 Ranger 2.0L 4 speed, sold it. Third was a 1987 Mustang 2.3L 5 speed, I miss this car. Traded it in when I bought my fourth vehicle, a 1995 Ranger 2.3L 5 speed. Traded in the '95 Ranger for a new 2008 Ranger 2.3L 5 speed.

First car - '48' Dodge Coupe (high school graduation gift)
First truck - 1939 Dodge with 283 Vette motor
First Ford - 1964 Mercury Cyclone, 289 4speed

My first car was a 1983 Mazda GLC - Piece of Crap
Nicknamed 'Maximus' cause it was one tough little car.

Uh..:icon_confused:

Those two phrases should not be together. Ha.

Lol, it was a piece of Crap!

Everything was broken, nothing worked, I rigged a Doorbell for a Starter button.

But, it was tough, the little shit just would not die! I drove it to work and back everyday, never changed oil, never did anything. It just kept going. And I rallied it from time to time:D

1400cc with a 4 on the floor and live rear axle.i bought an 82 glc right out of highschool and it great, painted her black with two fat red shelby stripes down the car.was probably the only glc in america painted like that,my friends had no trouble finding me.i wheeled it across creeks, the (oregon)dunes and lots of donuts-torture.get stuck you just get out and pick it up out of its ruts.traded it for a ford courier at a wrecking yard

mine had a cracked head the entire time i had it.i just loosened the radiator cap and put water in when it boiled out.drove her from state to state though with no probs.

1st - 1983 Ranger, 4 cylinder 5 speed, 2WD, could barely get out of its own way!

2nd - 1999 Ranger, 3.0L, 4x4, I loved that truck, sold due to gas prices/college

3rd - 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250 - Commuter

4th - 1992 Ranger, 2.9L 4x4, new winter rig for this year, next summer going to become a full-time wheeler

My first car was 1987 Datsun B-210. Great little runner until the ignition went out. Broke down on the side of the road. I could not get to it for a couple of days. Finally, I was able to buy a new ignition switch. But by the time I got to it, someone pulled it into the desert and vadalized it.

Let my lesson be your lesson. Dont' let your car sit on the side of the road!

My mother felt pretty bad for me, and bought me a 1959 F-100 short bed pick-up. Never ran great . . . but still have it to this day. Just another project.

my first was a 91 jeep cherokee the engine ran like new and it was a 5 speed with the 4.0L and 4x4. sold it a few weeks ago though because it had a death shake when taken on the highway and it was starting to set its ways
