What was your 1st car?

My first car was an 87 ford ranger S/C with a 5 speed and 2.9. complete piece of crap with an engine that was constantly mistaken for a straighpipe diesel, but it never cost me a dime in repairs aside from oil changes and never broke down in a year and a half of learning to drive.

a POS 1983 Datsun 200sx. It was white with some mag wheels. Someone decided to bolt on a spoiler and install a sun-roof that leaked (sealed it up). It was a decent POS.

that is a basic 200sx

6 cylinders at the most!

My first car I drove legally was a 61 ford falcon withpine boards on the floor. I can still feel the sway of that ford body to this day!

sad to say, it was a jeep

2wd 88' comanche 2wd 2.5L 4spd sun roof.

it got me to school

First car-1988 Ford Ranger 2.0 5-speed 2wd. It couldn't get out of its own way if it depended on it, especially with 31's. Bought it when i was 12, i'm 17 now. Its cab now sits on an 87 4x4 that i bought last fall.

64 chevy 1/2 ton me and a buddy cabel tied a 455 into. scary was the 455 sat on wood blocks and we cabele it down drive shaft used to hit the floor boards on hard launches . i was 15 and master of the school parkin lot with that monster. my dad caught me drag racing on night and next morning i woke to find he had cut my truck in half for a tralier. saved my life lol. it was a death trap!!!!

My first car was my '65 mustang. My uncle bought it in the early '70's for $50. It was only running on 4 cylinders, so my uncle fixed that and drove it to my grandpa's house parked it, then fast foward about 25 years and he asked me what car I wanted that he had (he had and still has many) i picked my other uncles '66 mustang which was sitting right next to mine and is still sitting in the general area today. He said he wouldn't sell that one so i picked my '65, drug it home a few days later and eventually got it in the shed. I got it running when i was 15 after it sat for 28 years, luckily my dad oiled it down when they parked it or it would have been locked up. It still hasn't been on the road yet. but i use to drive it around our yard. and luckily it has a working parking brake, because none of the other brakes work. and my 1st plated vehicle is my '83 ranger which i also got from the same uncle.

My first ride which is also my current ride is a 95 splash. It was bone stock then. It has been through some stages over the past few years. Got it when I was 15, I'm 23 now. I love this truck.

I have a 1951 cj-3a in pretty good shape (no rust) I use it for a little bit of everything :)

I first learned to drive a stick in it, actually I learned to drive like a man in it! lol No p/s nothing! flat head 4, 3 on the floor, 5:38 gears, drive it every now and then. Love that thing its my other baby!

Nah, that's a sears and roebuck aftermarket top from around 1965 or so. The hubs on the front Dana 25 are Montgomery Wards from around the same era. I inherited it when my great uncle died and I went through it completely, All new brakes, clutch, tires, rewired, and reupholstered. The best part is 0 rust :) I sunk around 1500$ in it about a year or too ago. Parents wont let me drive it on the road. Of coarse with 5:38s and a 3 speed it tops out at 55. Safe but impractical. I pretty much wasted my money to enjoy a classic. Pretty bad when you brag up your baby to all your friends and you can't drive it. I take it to car shows alot, no tags just a FARM license plate. What dad don't know won't hurt him ;)

Yep I consider this my pride and joy, taught me every think I know about building and driving a real 4x4. Let me dig up a newer photo.

Yeah Parents (again) won't let me take off the top because we don't have enough room in our garage, Dads pristine 72 f100 takes its place :pissedoff: . It currently sits in my grandmothers garage. Soon to sit outside again, through another winter:bawling:. Breaks my heart, I put alot of blood sweat and tears (alot) into her and they wont even allow me to park it in a dry place. Oh well, someday I'll have my OWN shop and dads gunna want something, Imma say noo! ;missingteeth;
