hi guys. im searching for some new tires, since my good years are going bald.
since i have a very limited price range i wont be going for 30"s anymore. 235/75 this time, besides a smaller tire will help the mileage and the truck's power.
Remember its my daily drive/work truck, and i carry around 1500-1600 lbs on the bed. Also drive around 70% on pavement and 30% on dirt roads. thats why i want an all terrain.

i have found some options that are within the price range im looking into. (around 105$USD)

Firestone destination RVT 235/75

Nexen roadian a/t II 235/75, also 30" for the same price

Firestone destination at 235/75

Hankook dynamic 235/75

i was thinking about gt radial adventuro at II.

way cheapier, but i havent got good feedback from people using them. seems like they wear down fast. and i carry heavy stuff so thats not good, even the salesman was like... i dont think they will last with constant loads.

im really interested in the firestone destination rvt, but also the nexen roadian at2 looks good.
hankook seems like a low quality. :dunno:

i think i might get the RVT's, they have the look i want lol, but i would like some input on this.
so if anyone has used nexen please let me know how they are :icon_thumby:

I'd lean in the direction of the RVTs or the Hankooks. They look like the most suitable tires for your conditions there (lotsa mud, yes?).

I personally own a set of Destination AT's and I have nothing but good things to say about them. When we had 3 feet of snow on the ground, my 2wd open diff ranger went through it like it was just another rainy day.

But for the stuff I've seen you drive through I think the destination RVTs may be a little better.

Of the ones you listed the RVT looks like it would be the best.

I personally like the tread pattern on the Nexen for all around use. Whichever you get, I would recommend getting a 10 ply to handle the constant loads.

I go with either the Destination A/Ts or the Hankooks. I've never ridden on the Firestones but given the abuse I've seen them take (comparing tread condition and alignment angles) they seem to be good tires.

I've been selling Hankooks for years and they always seem to to balance well and last a while. I even put a set of GeoTracks on my dad's 250.

I have the destination at and have really liked them so far. great traction in everything ive come across
