excellent tires for sure! legal in all the states. they are completely remolded, not just glued on (re-capped) like they were back in the 1940's and 50's. they have had very good write up's in most of the 4x4 mags. i'll be using them for all my future tire purchases as long as it's a size they sell. just my $.02.

im gonna do a little re search and see. how long do they last? i heard theyre heavier. how much? and get hot but that dont matter to me cause i dont drive too far. six miles at the farthest at one time

wife has a set of Nexan's. She swears by them. I'll keep my B.F. Goodrich's

i've done 4 1600+ mile road trips with mine in addition to trail riding, and dd use. never had them get hot and i only run about 26-30 psi for the weight of my vehicles and the load i'm carrying. yes, they are heavier as they are E rated (10 ply equivalent). and mine are on Michelin casings. they balanced well on both steel and aluminum wheels (i've had the same set on 2 different vehicles now). i have about 14k on mine now and still have about 75-80% of the tread left. the wear is awesome on light vehicles. mine are the AT tread and do very well in winter snow and ice as well as the spring mud here in northern Minnesota. i also have the "green diamond" molded in which is the crushed glass/walnut shell traction enhancer. supposed to be as good or better than studs and as neither studs nor chains are allowed up here, these do very well. far superior to the Firestone Destination AT's i'm using on another vehicle, and even as good as the Toyo Open Country AT's i had at one time. no better tire made, especially for the price, imho.

seems like i have another option.

Yeah, DON'T.

I had them on my old F150, and I couldn't keep them balanced. When I took them back, the dealer wanted to SHAVE them to balance them out. I asked if they were out of round, and he said 'no, this is what we do with tires we can't balance.'

I dumped those with less than 10k on them for Goodyears. Not my first choice, but they were available as a closeout (discontinued) for an insanely low price.
