What rear is in my truck? Is it limited slip? Also, what tranny did the use for manuals in these years?

the trans is a mazda built M5OD.
the rear end varies, you'll have to check either the code on the drivers door pillar sticker and compare it to the chart in the tech library, or crawl under the truck and read the tag attached to the diff. cover.

Ok, thanks. Did they even offer limited slip in Rangers? Also, how durable are the 5 spd mazdas? Is the front end a dana 35, or Dana 28 being that it's a 3.0?

they offered a limited slip in both the 7.5 and 8.8 rear ends...you'll have to check your door code or diff. tag.
the M5OD is a very durable unit...failures are not that common and are usualy neglect or abuse related.
your front is most likely a 35....but could be the dana 35/28 hybrid. check the tech library for identification.
