And here I thought Alpine was a car audio manufacturer. Based on the one in my truck, they aren't very good at it and should probably stick to making the beer and headlight covers.
Depends, did it get infected or not? If not then the babysitting is probably worse. If it did, it's probably a wash.
I don't know when the last time I got my eye scratched was. It has happened but wearing glasses all of the time has probably cut down on the chances a lot. That said, about every 8 weeks I get a needle stuck in each of them. Similar feel, biggest difference is they numb the crap out of my eye first and it's happened so many times it doesn't bother me as much as it used to. Still feels scratched once the numbing agents wear off, but I think the repetition has taken the edge off of the discomfort.
Unless told different by your doctor, use eyedrops and keep it hydrated, it does help. With my injections the eyes are tearing up for hours afterwards, yet they are still dry. Using the eyedrops helps to lubricate them and clear up the discomfort much quicker. In my brain it doesn't make sense, eyedrops are artificial tears and my eyes are watering plenty, but it does make a difference.
Good advice, the doc gave me drops for infection, and the doc gave me lube drops.
The scariest part was driving back-and-forth to the doctor, and then back-and-forth to the pharmacy. I wear contacts from the time I get up to the time I quit about 930 or 10, when I put on my 40-year-old glasses to watch TV on the chance I fall asleep.
They are so scratched up, and there’s a little dab of superglue on one side, that it’s like looking through a sheet of paper in the sun. What I can see, I can see clearly, but compared to the contacts, it’s also like looking down a tunnel. So driving was like being in a video game, or some Florida thrill ride.
I didn’t hit anything hard, and I survived, but it made me think of getting a new set of glasses…
