Hello Everyone!

I’m in some dire need of helping figuring out this issue I’m having, I have a 2004 ford ranger FX4. So the issue I noticed it yesterday 7/8, driving home from work I briefly lost engine power maybe only a second or two and then the engine went right back to being normal and saw the passive anti-theft (PAT) light flash on my dish light at the same time. Does anybody have any clue as to why this would happen? I didn’t hit any large bump that would throw a connector around I don’t think and as far as I can tell, all my connections in the engine bay and by my feet and passenger kick panel are good as well. Does anybody know where the PAT lights/system wire into some I could check that out? Let me know what you guys think and what I should take a look at, thank you everyone!!

Do you have a heavy keychain or a lot of keys connected to the truck key? Is your truck key heavily worn?

Has to be a connection issue somewhere like mentioned above in the key switch or a bad relay or bad capacitor in the engine computer or something dumb...
