more parts for the future 1978 Bronco project.
accepts a 12" clutch and at 40 lbs should smooth the idle out real good.

After work I decided to take advantage of the newly gained daylight in the evening and continued my quest to mow for the first time in months... started out on Saturday night which went well, tonight was going pretty good until I found something one mower blade didn't like which managed to shear off all 3 bosses on one spindle... conveniently I have a complete spare deck and at least one fixable spindle left I think... will probably throw my spare deck on at this point since the broken spindle isn't the only issue with this one... The best part is I was like one round around my pear tree from being done so not too worried, just an inconvenience...

My riding mower is from '94 if I remember right so dealing with this every now and then doesn't really bother me :), I bought a set of 3 spindles, belts and blades a few years ago for like $90, better than buying a new $800 mower every 5 years like the new garbage... There's a reason I got one with a manual transmission...

Robot operating and programming class. I rarely write or modify the robot movement programs. We have a separate team for that. So, good review. Maybe I’ll sneak a picture later.
Finished the class today. Below is a video of my completed first exercise for this class. This robot is similar, but only about 1/3 the size of the ones I work with daily. I ran out of time and didn't video exercise 2, today. But, it was a program to put a pointer on the end of the robot and use it to trace the outline of the wavy work table in the cell. Basically pretending to spray it with paint, about 1/2" above the table surface. I completed it twice, since I wasn't happy with my first result. But that took me to the end of the class period. Fun stuff.

Did some more prep for moving my tarp shed and setting up a workspace. Made a space at my property to put the compressor that’s still in the back of my F-150. Put the battery back in mom’s Explorer. Some other odds and ends.

Then I went to the township meeting. Out of a community of almost 5,000 people you would think more than 9 could be bothered with showing up. So the supervisors rubber stamp everything they want with no discussion or arguments and a lot of not good is starting down the pipeline. Like they will be able to come on your property at will to “inspect” everything on it looking for violations to a new code that will be coming. Best get involved in your community folks…

It was such a nice day i did some very early trout fishing at the Youghiogheny River in South-western P.A.

since it's my special day to decide what's for lunch we drove an hour and a half thru the scenic Irish Hills to the Saucy Dog in Jonesville Michigan to get a beard full of cheese from loaded nachos, then chomped down on a slaw laden hot dog.
needed 3 paper towels and a trip to the sink to clean up all the cheese, bbq sauce, and other drippings.
about an hour after that I pushed it all back down with a Shamrock Shake.

Well, with a Redneck crane (16’ 6x6 strapped to my ladder rack and a ratcheting chain thing), I got the compressor off the truck and into the space it is going to stay for now.

Then I went and got a ton of 1B limestone plus some 4”x8” solid concrete block. Dad helped empty the last of the stuff out of the shed plus get it moved. I got all of the limestone off the truck and spread. Have to finish getting it flattened tomorrow and go get the pavers.

Oh, and the wheelbarrow tire that I fixed a couple days ago? Well, the new tube has a leak. So I get to take that apart again. Not like there’s a shortage of wheelbarrows, between myself and my parents there are 7 of them around here… Currently 4 of them need repairs though…

Camped out near the bathroom for most of the morning. That's already TMI ain't it.

After that I knocked out a few things on the F-250 maintenance list. I don't think I need to rehash everything I'm doing on that here. Today I was finished up fixing the passenger side back half door cables. Got the cable ends repaired and latches reinstalled on Sunday It was raining, so I didn't take the time to reinstall the panels. Sunday evening I decided that I was going to replace the 25 year old factory speaker while the door panel was off. Being a 7.3L diesel (noisy) I'm not going to spend high dollar on the stereo and speakers, so stopped by WalMart yesterday and picked up two sets of 6x8 4-way Scosche speakers. Also had speaker harness adapters delivered yesterday. Got the passenger side door closed back up with the new speaker, then pulled the passenger side and replaced it too. Front door panels are coming off soon for a mirror swap, and the front speakers will get done.

Also did first oil change on new engine in the Ranger, and swapped my new coil packs and IACV back in. I'd swapped them out a couple weeks ago for troubleshooting, they weren't the cause of that problem but never got round to changing back. I'll be putting in new spark plug wires in a few days after I get the heat wrap that I ordered. A couple of the plug wires are a little too close to the headers for comfort. The new wires are supposed to have heat shielding built in and have boot protectors, but I still want a little more for cylinders 4 and 8.

Nice evening so took the gator out for awhile, even went in to the still damp field. Just floats on the soft areas. If only I could fit a mower deck on it somehow.

‘74 Bronco restore/customize on Bitchin Rides on Motortrend right now

Acquired some more storage cabinets and started arranging my garage to make it a usable space. Hopefully by the end of the weekend it'll be a more cohesive space that I can use.

I took a look at the electrical of my new to me lift. It used to be a 3-phase 3hp electric over hydraulic system. The manufacturer shut their doors on 1984! So no manuals to be found as yet.
The farmer that sold it to my boss put in a 220V 5hp Baldor. The motor starter has been bypassed. The safety at the top of the column is bypassed. The wiring was done by a farmer...
So I will fix the connections and wire the safety cut-off back in at the top of the column. The unit was working when it was set up at my bosses place so I don't believe I need the motor starter.
Then I have to figure out what fluid slopped out of the reservoir. Probably hydraulic jack oil but....
