Hello out there, I have a 1999 Ford Ranger XLT 3L, flex fuel truck. I was going to change out my fuel filter when I noticed a crack line on the (Flex Sensor) barb end, so from the fuel filter to the (flex sensor) is a plastic hose 5/16 inch by 18 inches long. I know Dorman has kits out there especially one that has two lines, 5/16 and 3/8 by 18inches lone with a fitting at one end. My question is am I able to slip the hose with no fitting on the barb end (flex sensor) with a little muscle or do I need a special too. Will a heat gun work?
thank you for your time.
