Seem to have fixed my lean issue. The front driver O2 sensor plug wasn't fully seated.

Popped the hood on the '97 and cut the zip ties holding the rag over 2/3 of the radiator since it's supposed to be 90 tomorrow...

Not the ranger...but i wouldnt of parked it next to a tesla and a mach e...the jeep has comp coverage so when one of the ev's bursts into flames itll be covered

My new to me Shiftster come in today. Now to pack it in my travel tool kit and hope I never have to use it.

I am thankful to have found one and able to purchase it.

You're correct.

It's a manual override for a failed Tcase shift motor.

You can try ebay or whatever...but last i heard they are getting hard jf not impossible to find

I've been half passed looking for one for a few years. I emailed a seller on ebay that had one on auction that didn't sell. After he told me he would selling to me he resisted it for nearly three times the price we agreed to. I reported him and finally got it for his original price from his first failed auction.

You just have to be vigilant and keep looking... but they're hard to come by.

Personally... I LOVE doing exhaust work on junk that leaks (or rather used to leak) all its oil onto the manifold/s... it's the secret sauce for removing 218k mile hardware without any problems

So far I've only had to swear at the egr fitting.. I'll take it.

Looks like I've lucked out with where the o2 placement is as well. I was only intending on a test fit/mock up type deal with the header today because I forgot to bring along a drill and a step bit to make myself a nice little bunghole.... but stock placement is far enough back I'll be able to put it post-collector.

The real question is... when is all this "luck" gonna run out?
