What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

-or-

Get rid of all of them. Get one good running, reliable vehicle. Then limit yourself to 1 project at a time... not 36 projects that you can’t possibly have the time and money to complete.
Trust me... I know.

You SIR are what we would call a "FUN SUCKER". Putting limits on people... I think you might have a government job. LOL

I do have a government job... I’m currently watching 2 co-workers throw nuts and bolts at each other.

I work 3:30 - midnight... the bosses leave around 4. Enough said.

To quote Steve Martin in the movie Sgt. Bilko...
“All I’ve ever wanted was an honest week’s pay, for an honest day’s work.”

I can neither confirm nor deny the statement above....

Same here. My work is dependent on a aircraft fuel system component breaking or a tank developing a leak during the week. On drill weekends, it depends on what kind of training they have planned form me. Otherwise, I'm inspecting the shop I normally work in during the week. I even write myself up from time to time when I discover I missed something. I can't just write everyone else up. It doesn't look good.

I made the referral list for another gov spot. Wn 7 slot. I have to decide if I would like to take the job but I will for sure go to the interview. It's management again is why I have to think about it. But I like going to interviews is why I will for sure go that.

If you’re in charge, you never write yourself up. That’s just dumb. How are you supposed to deny the charges and make counter accusations.
When I’m in charge, I walk around using a traffic cone as a megaphone yelling “DONE YET?”

I'm not in charge either as a civilian or as an inspector. I'm quite happy to keep it that way. Being in charge in the military as a Noncommisioned Officer or as a Civilian is not fun. Been there, done that, wore out the shirt and I don't want it back!

That's why I am hesitant for that job I made the referral on. 6 years as a civilian supervisor of a shop
