When I got the new wheels and tires I didn't mount the spare under the truck because I wasn't sure if it would fit, and a company had offered me a new bumper to promote that had a swing out tire carrier. After realizing they weren't going to come through for me I decided to mount the spare under the truck.

These new tires measure out to 33.5 inches. It actually fit well with room to spare. I shifted it off to one side a little to keep it away from the exhaust.

I did the same but rethinking recently. Was out with a buddy and he blew his tire out in a mud hole. Drug him out on the flat but man it was a mess dropping that tire to change covered in mud haha. I'll probably try and make a reciever mount carrier when ti.e and material can be afforded.
