What did YOU do today?

RIP Tom Knapp

Dude sure could shoot...

New bed rack ahowed up just now..... unfortunately the box is all town up but the guy said they put everything in that they saw come out and taped it all back in. We will see. He said its innthe notes and if anything is missing, call customer service so they can take care of it.

I geuss we will see what us going in in thr box now. Its about 110 pounds so i have ti get my dolly

I forgot to say i had to change the 100 amp main breaker to the house this morning. That sucked because the screws that clamp the huge wires in place to the breaker were corroded solid so i had to carefully cut and strip them to put into the new breaker.

I only got zapped one time because my hand slid off the insulated part of the electrician pliers and hit the metal hinge with my thumb and the house breaker box with my pinky. That reiterated my hatred of electrical work and desite to never have to do it again.

The good thing about finally changing it is the putside ac unit doesn't sound like its dragging at start up anymore. It must be getting fuller power now that the corroded crappy looking one that made a grinding feeling when you had to flip it is out of there.

Glad it went alright. You're not supposed to do that with power on.

I'll be that guy... How'd ya do?

The duck blind shots on clays courses typically get the better of me.
you just have to make me relive the agony, dont you ?

it was a 60 target event, I squeaked out a 33.......

Yeah, i kind of figured that but it was at like 0700 so i figured the power company wouldnt answer the phone. This box needs to be replaced. The real main house nreaker was removed sometime prior ti my parents getring this place in 93 and they just ran those two big 110 lines to this 100amp breaker and stuck it at the top of the left set of breakers so if you just got this place and went looking for a way to turn off the house, you would have to pop the panel face off and follow the wires.

I have had to do that a bunch of times so i have written next to each fuse where it goes into the house. I was hoping this breaker issue would fix itself but it went feom popping only during bad storms to multiple times a day so it required attention.

At least its done and i hope to never have to open the breaker box again

And these sure look like they will work for leveling the shed.

The cheap truck really has the classic 80's vibe going with the brush guard, bed bar (I can't bring myself to say roll bar) and the Lund visor.
It was a special order truck and all of those pieces were dealer installed by a small (since closed) Ford dealer in northern Vermont. I also like the look of it, it's a damn shame its so rotten. It drives well but the seat is falling through the floor, among many other cab issues.

Two hi-lifts didnt do anything to this shed. Its 24x12 and converted to a cabin inside with kitchen and bath.

But the 20t was a cinch.

Access hole putting in thr jack. Then lifting enough to put blocks undernrath the beams. And the level reading decently close to level versus a full bubble of fall

That makes sense, the shed I was lifting was just a 10x12ish and I was just lifting one end and it just has stuff in it and not that much weight just bulk.. sure it's now attached to a mess of a leanto conglomeration... I have no idea how it started out but it'd been re-engineered before I moved in to be a 12x20 then I added a 12x20 lean to, then I added a 12x24 lean to and a 12x4... so now it's pretty much 36'x24'...

Tonight my brother wanted help with a tractor that lost a spring in part of the injector pump (check valve on the outlet), went home and grabbed a tool he didn't have then stole parts off of a parts pump on another tractor(it's complicated... he has a replacement pump for that tractor so the one on it is parts) so we fixed that then worked on the 14' mower we worked on last week, got the output shaft bearings tighter but there's still gear noise so we'll investigate that tomorrow...

As I was exiting the parking garage at UC Davis Health after my appointment at the doctor, I stumbled upon a dilema. A contradiction, of sorts. This forced me to make a tough decision. I had some difficulty in deciding which decision would be the best choice. In the end, I decided the best choice is to always move forward in life. So I did. I had a few cars come towards me and honk as they went past. But, in the end, I did find my way out of the parking garage.
