its a shame about your parents some people just can't get their heads around the words "PIT BULL".they are right to be reluctant though it is a big responsibility to have a dog that is as capable as a pit.i'm always on guard with my pit grumpy when i take him out in public even though my cat kicks his ass and hes never started a fight(but hes finished a few, never ending in blood luckily).
for the most part i worry about somebodys labrador coming up and starting shit and the owner beating my dog with a club instead of just calling off his dog with a shitty attitude(its come very close to happening),or like my buddy who got pulled over for a speeding ticket(10 over) and had a cop draw a gun on his pit for growling at him.my dog is a total love bug but i've also seen plenty of people whose pits were out of control and or just plain mean that i wanted to put a bullet in.from his paws it looks like he will be relatively small and he really doesn't have that short nosed muscle head look(though he should fill out some).maybe try to sell them on the mutt angle.one word of advise though pits are VERY stubborn it helps imensely if you are more bull headed than the dog or it will wear you down in a hurry.try getting your parents to play with him and see his personality.my guess is pit and shar pei if he has dark blotches on his tongue and six months or even less if hes got big parents.
