I just did a water pump replacement and now when i press the gas it sounds like the belt is squealing. It’s a brand new belt. I saw online that my pulleys could be off or something could be seized but i’m lost. Any ideas from people who have worked on this engine? 3.0L 2001

Possibly a seized tensioner pulley or idler pulley. Or maybe alternator.
Take the belt back off & check them 1 at a time. If one is seized it will be black most likely.

Water pump replacement? Bad bearing in the new one? Are ya sure the belt is routed correctly?

Also could be the cam sensor/oil pump drive. If it dries out up top it squawks and squeals something fierce as is galls up the aluminum housing Then it seizes and you loose oil pressure. If the noise is at the back of then engine....I would put money on it being the oil pump drive.
