well, I didn't go but my dad did and i have pics. But we have dial up, so if someone who can post them quick wants to, let me know your email and I'll send them, i can only do about 6 at a time straight to someone.
My dad said the dually could've easily been a show truck, not a dent or scratch on it. Just looked totally perfect. I wanted him to get some pics of the underneath (axles) but he didn't get any. it's 8 lug front and back. he said the pics don't make it look as good as it was. I'll let everyone stew on it before I say what it sold for.
and the v8 one, well, me and my dad are both kicking ourselves in the ass about it. He called when they got to the v8 one and I could here the bidding, before hand the auctioneer had a big story about how much work was in it. It had over 200,000 miles but the entire underneath was spotless and all painted, and how the guy would load real much welding supplies on it and a trailer full yet and the truck would perform so well the guy forgot it was a ranger, which didn't may any since to me since the part that broke was a AOD not even from a ranger but anyway, he had the pedals in the cab and spotted a manual transmission for it but didn't buy it yet. He owed it since 1998 and he never let it get rained on except the day of the sale and when he bought it, it had 160,000 miles on it. From the pics i can tell it has an exploder motor and an AOD. Must of looked, for a driver and a 1992, also unbelievable. We were the 2nd high bidder and we had a brain fart and let it go waaaaaaay to cheap. I'm still not to happy with myself on letting it go. Worst case if i would have got it i could have changed the front end to a 1st gen and lived with the color (not my favorite but there's definitely worse out there) and since i don't do any pulling it would have been my dream truck, but apparently it could pull pretty good. I'll tell both prices when the pics are up so you can through in your guesses.
One more thing, apparently this guy was working on a 1970 mustang that was no doubt going to be perfect as well. He had it gutted and one quarter panel off and it was sitting outside and the damn people setting up the auction took it to the crusher. But if there is a bright side, my dad bought all the leftovers for $60. From what I've been able to piece together from what we have of it, it was a 1970 mustang cobra jet mach 1 with a 4 speed, shaker, and a/c. stupid sons a *******.
