I bought a 96 ranger 3.o splash for my son. it has 200000 miles basically...
it has many "cracks in the lines" I suppose due to age...
what size vaccum lines are used? about how many are there on the truck so i can get replacement lines...
it has a high idle the goes to a low almost stall idle...at highway speed it works great...mileage in town is bad...
trying to get easy stuff done before i get into the tough stuff for fixes...
Basically the whole truck is stock.

there should be a diagram on the radiator core support that shows all your vacuum lines and routings. there are several different size lines used, so your best bet is to just play it by ear...or if you have alternate transport, take all the lines in at once and have new ones cut to length.

ford likes hard plastic lines for some vacuum accessories...these are brittle and break easily. its best to replace them with rubber lines.
