Upper Intake/fuel rail Studs

Anyone know what the spec on these studs that samich the upper intake and fuel rail?

From what I gather they're discontinued, I was going to snag some bolts from ACE or whatever.

Anyway, any one know the size, pitch, and length?

Never did figure it out. The two closest sizes in 16th inch intervals were just too big or just too small.... I did not check metric sizes because I'm not gonna lie, I forgot about those 'til just now. Despite knowing it's a 10 mm head.

I'll check those next time, if I find one that works I'll post.

Scratch that in the 10mm... that's valve covers... anyway, yeah I'll post it if I figure it out.

The 4.0 fuel rail/upper intake manifold studs are 8mmx1.25mm thread, the specific length depends on the exact year of the engine because 1995-up engines have an 8mm thick thermal insulator that is fitted between the lower intake and the cast aluminum fuel rail these engines also were fitted with a glass reinforced plastic upper intake manifold that had a base flange that was considerably thicker than the earlier aluminum upper intake.

These factors vary the needed length of stud on either end.

Simply put you must use the correct stud, simply substituting bolts is not a practical solution...

the valve cover bolts have 10mm heads but the threads themselves are 6mmx1.0mm...
