Upper intake bols/fuel rail bolts broken 92 4.0L OHV

The bolts that hold down the fuel rail and injectors, and also that tighten the upper intake manifold to the lower with the nuts broke, I was replacing the injectors and the reverse torx end snapped, would Ford have replacement bolts, does anyone sell new ones, or am I making a trip to the junk yard ?

Ford might, but they will probably cost a bit... I would just go to the Junkyard and yank what you need.

I think I've seen those in some auto parts places...but I didn't have the proper tool to use them...might need dealer status to buy the tool...or however that works...

I'm with AJ on the junkyard...if you can still find similar year vehicle...last guy I talked to said they were crushing up to 2008...wtf!

The bolts are discontinued from Ford as I have tried to buy them from my local Ford Dealership and this is what they stated. Ford # W702312-S309M

Yeah I check with Ford that part was discontinued across the board, so out to the junkyard I go

BTW a 6 pointed socket will remove inverted torx if careful. I just can't remember what size they are....

also use antiseize when installing them

I use a 12 point socket with great success on these.

It is an E7 reverse torx. You can get them at Auto zone. I think I had to buy the whole set tho but it was about 10 bucks
