Update on my 88 Ranger SAS

Depends on the Engine. 5" exhaust is about right for a 500hp Diesel. Way overkill for most gasoline engines, but it depends on the application.

except we arent talking about a 500hp diesel...:D

It's just a fancy exhaust tip. It's up to him to do what he wants. If he wants to run vertical exhaust ending with a large stack, then he has a right to do so. Doing so does not make his truck less capable or turn it into being shoddily built. It's really no different than painting a tube chassis or rollcage bright green or pink.

plus all that ads about 20 HP :icon_welder::icon_hornsup:

especially the high temp paint. I almost blew up my 7.5 after painting it. the wheelie was worth it though.

that pic of it together is without motor/tranny and all other metal stuff. it sits a bit lower with it all in... and i want to put a d60 and 42s on it eventually so i need a lil more lift then average

NICE TRUCK, i'm doing the same thing to my 88 supercab . did you buy the leaf spring mounts as a kit somewhere ,or did you fab everything? i'm putting in a d44 from a 68 f250 as soon as i go through the rear and inspect and replace everything while its on the ground. any extra info or links would be helpful.
