Thought id share my experience with O...O...O...Oreileys a couple days ago.
Needed a PS pump for my crown vic. Was trying to get it that day. Called everyone and O reiley said they had one. Made a special trip into town to get it.
I walk in and tell the guy "i called earlier about a power steering pump for a 99 crown vic"...he says "ok".....starts poking around in his computer..."well, its not in the recent list"....ok dude well look it up then.
He says "what vehicle again"....i say "99 Crown vic Non police".....he asks "is that a chevy?"
At this point i didnt say "what the f***" like i wanted too...but my face must of said it....i said "no ford...ford crown victoria...civilian"...he goes "i knew that i was joking" (sure you were).
Pokes at his computer some more " um...looks like we have the police one but not the normal one"....
Now....i told the idiot on the phone no less then 4 times it was NOT police....he also supposdly verified it was there.
This is why parts stores are dying.
So I have my own commercial account through them. The commercial counter guys are awesome and go above and beyond to get you the right stuff, they are paid accordingly. Unfortunately the commercial guys only work 730 to 5 Monday through Friday. After that I'll use the commercial website and do a store pickup order after looking up the parts myself, sometimes the front counter people still manage to mess up my order... I'd still rather deal with that than walk into an autozone (sorry @lil_Blue_Ford )
