4.0L SOHC Pulling the SOHC for inspection

I wonder if it would work to clear burnt on oil or undercoating. Would be cool for prepping frames for paint.

Yes.

With prejudice.

Theyre a one shot deal. Nuke with laser, then paint. No other prep needed.

Probably would start a fire or put out enough toxic fuels to kill a small town.

Should try it.
It most definitely would, and yea make sure it’s in a well ventilated area! 😂

Argh!!! Sonofa*%^! Got the LH cam timed and the RH bolt failed while torquing it to spec. I’ve got another on order now so it’s back to the waiting game.

So while waiting for the new bolt, I decided to change the fuel filter bc it’s old and rusty, I couldn’t get one of the lines from the tank to the filter off (the green clip one); I tried and tried and eventually the line got a bad kink in it. So I figured I’d just replace it with one from the other (donor) ranger. Pulled the bed back some and popped off both the lines to try filter and I’ll eventually drop the tank on the other to replace them.

That’s the hard plastic type lines right?

if you heat it up it will get soft and you can replace the fittings. I’ve heard of people boiling it to get it soft enough to put a new end on. I’ve also used a lighter myself.

I don’t remember why but I needed to replace or add a T fitting into one once.

Yes the hard plastic ones. The damn filter won’t come out of the one line no matter how much I pushed in on the green tab, cycled the tab in and out, sprayed with penetrating oil, everything I could think of so I was just like the heck with it I’ll just replace the line. The donor rangers lines came off easy.
