Turbo fun

The 2.3 to V8 bell housing, along with the flywheel would be a better deal, I think the 2.3/V8 flywheel allows you to run a bigger diameter clutch/pressure plate which gives you more holding power clutch wise.

yeah thats what i was thinking as well. my mustang has 428 horse to the wheels on a stock clutch and stock non world class transmission so i think the brand new t5 world class tranny ive got should handle everything this 2.3 can throw at it. im most looking forward to making the clutch work (not) i plan on making a detailed wright up on the whole process of building the motor, fitting the trans, turboing it, everything

Even if you use the v8 bell, with the adapter, you still have to worry about the input shaft

im going the rout of old school muscle, brass bushing

That bushing works, but it is very, very hard to get in, its a super thin wall, and if you have access to liquid nitrogen, freeze it in that before putting it in, it will help tremendously. And buy more than one.. You are likely to mess up one, or two before you succeed

great lol. i get paid soon so ill be buying a second motor to build up.should i wrap the header and turbo? i plan on reinforcing all of the welds. and upping my exhuast from a 2.5 to a 3"

so i was reading that im going to kill my stock 8 plug block. any truth behind this?i dont want to dump 3k into a block..

all the blocks are the same, it's rumored that the turbo blocks have more nickel but they all live about as well as far as I've heard over the years

The newer the block, the less likely it is to fail. Your crank will fail before the block will. And the crank will take 450 hp before you have any issues with it.

thats what i like to hear what will be the last year with 8 plugs and stuff that will work with my ranger?

95 I think, maybe 94. After that the switched to a 36-1 crank sensor instead of the 3 vane hall effect sensor.

how bad will my ranger run with a different mass air and no tune? my current mass air is shit

ie a new truck or mustang mass air
