After a ton of research (and surprisingly NO help from you guys
) I got a cool new toy, a GARMIN OREGON 450 gps.Now when I broached the subject a few days ago a few on here really poo-poo'd the idea of GPS,well I am here to tell you -YOU GUYS WILL LOVE IT-have you ever gone wheelin' and found a cool spot but even with maps and directions Billy Bob still could not find that trail,or you read a post on here about someplace cool and the guy can't quite remember, how about REAL TIME tracking of the TRS banner.I was in the ARMY too (not spec-ops SNAKE EATER, I was commanders driver
) and pretty good at map reading and land navigation 'cause if I got lost the Battalion was lost. And after seeing that one of the most popular downloadable maps is AFGHANASTAN! There are some other soldiers using these things too.But anyway I saw a video on Youtube that had people driving in the woods and finding little hidden boxes or hiding boxes to be found by others-this is fun ,free and you have to use you brain ,some are in the woods others are in the city and always OUTDOORS so family gets outside together.I am going to try and learn to tag my pics so google maps will take you there. It really is fun and the guy that got me into it is retired 18th AIRBORNE CORPS CWO3 turned Harley Rider ,so its still manly
