Truckspotters

Thought this shot might be entertaining. It shows how (unnecessarily) larger today's full-sized pickups have become.

The front of the newer trucks look like the nose and face of a English bulldog or Boston terrier or something like that to me.

These newer trucks just don't seem to hold a whole lot either...

If you want almost 500hp power/1,000ft-lbs torque, you're going to need radiator/intercooler/transmission coolers like a Peterbilt.

I was on the GM Heritage site the other day: Late 80s S-10s had >GVWR/payload & power, than the mid 60s C10s.

It's because now a days they sell what they a truck BUT it's really just a lifted car with half of a truck bed attached to it.

Why not cut the bulk and hideous styling trying to hide the Peterbilt cooling system and use an apparently much smaller and more efficient Freightliner setup?

Its fluff, it takes effort to make something that ugly. If they didn't want it that way it would be that way.
