my truck hasnt been wanting to start since it has gotten really cold in the last couple days, when i try to get it going the starter trys to turn it over but it does really slow and not even a full turn over then it just starts making a racket, like a very rapid clicking noise.

thanks,
Garrett

to me it sounds like a dead battery....charge her and try it again.....and keep the block heater plugged in for a few hours as it makes it easier to turn over...GL

not the battery i already tried charging it, any other ideas?

I had a 92 with a 3.0 and every month or 2 it would just decide not to start, so i'd go out there with a 1/2 in wrench and terminal cleaners, clean it up slap it back together and bingo. You'd be suprised what dirty terminals will do.

termanals are tight and ive tried jumping it. the terminals are clean as the battery is only a couple of weeks old

Post some pics of the top of your battery for us.
Tight terminals does not always equate to good connections.
I'm interested in the type of cable clamps you have..
