Yeah man... that could have been a far worse situation. Glad it was close to home.Made it home with some drama...

In 18 + years of owning my Ranger, this is the first time I have ever had to have it towed. Made it to within 36 miles from home and smoked a wheel bearing. Local (to the breakdown) Autozone did not have the bearings I wanted or even the rotor at all, so rather than put cheap bearings and do a messy parking lot repair, I decided to use my emergency roadside assistance on my insurance and just tow the truck home where I can deal with it on my own time and a full range of tools and see if I completely snarfed the spindle. The thing that really irks me is that those are Timken bearings with less than 15k miles on them. Originals had over 180k
I did have a great time though. Pictures coming..
And thank you @ericbphoto for the prep work on this outing, and the awesome scavenger hunt, it was a great and fun way to explore the area. I am glad that our newest forum member jumped on TRS, signed up, and joined us for the insanity, welcome @Bubba Bonanza to the group!
Thank you @Uncle Gump, @Mrs. Eighty Five, her friend Debbie, and @85_Ranger4x4 for the wonderful pizza's and campfire peach cobbler, and Eric for the homemade ice cream to go with it.
Stay tuned for pics... I have one or two good ones

And yeah... for my part of the food that was shared... I was just happy to do it. I was thankful that Debbie stepped right up and made the majority of the pizza. She did an outstanding job with the prep... assembly and even helped get cleaned up afterward. She even put her time in cranking the ice cream churn.
THANK YOU DEBBIE!!! She's even pretty damn handy doing minor surgery with splinter removal... I know this first hand.
The biscuits and gravy... I vote we plead Ron and Mr and Mrs 85 for another round of that when we meet again. And the peach cobbler.
Also... @ericbphoto put a bunch of effort into making this a great trip. Thank you sir!
