Ok guys and maybe gals. I need your help. So I checked my transmission fluid on day and saw that it was silver. Not a good sign. I knew I was having transmission issues. So I pulled it and cracked the case. All the gears and synchros looked good. I then thought about doing the HD swap but those are like finding a needle in a hay stack. So I think I'm back to using the original trans and just replacing the t case with a manual one and probably using my electric one and making a doubled. So I have been searching for rebuild kits and they all as for the tooth count on the 6th/rev slider or gear. Now I have never torn into a manual trans so I have no idea which gear is the one I need to count the teeth. The trans is out of a 91 explorer (obviously M5OD). So can someone point me in the right direction for this info. Does anyone make an upgraded shifter assembly? Thanks in advance
