Transmission advice

Recently picked up a 92 ranger, she’s running a 4.0 with M5OD. Just the other day I had to begin to pull the drive train for parts and went to pull the fluids on the trans and this was the drain plug….now I gotta see what my best options would be….any thoughts? The truck was towed to my place due to it havIng a bad wheel bears and hub came right off so it wasn’t in the cards to try and see how the transmission drives.

looks like part of a wave washer from the shifter bushing assembly. Probably has a sloppy shifter. easy fix, $30 bushing kit from somewhere like summit or just put a hurst shifter in it. (much more-over $200 last I knew , but Im still loving mine)
edit- wow, the hurst has really gone up, Id still consider one though. mine is in its 2nd ranger and has over 50K miles on it between the 2 trucks it was in.

That hurst one was actually what I’ve been wanting to go with, but just haven’t made up my mind on dropping that kinda cash
