Train horn install

Just got some cheap Amazon train horns compressor and all, I mounted the compressor in the bed but how would you guys of mounted the horns? Underneath the truck? Right next to the compressor? Just thought it would be something fun to have lol

That will vary depending on the exact design of the horns you got - # of trumpets and dimensions.

I have one to go in my truck. It's a single trumpet about 15" long. If I don't have room to put it un the engine bay, pointed forward, I will probably mount it sideways between the grill and radiator. My last choice would be on the roof, next to my solar panels.

My thoughts are;

1. I want it angled slightly downward so that rain water will drain out easily.

2. My truck is 4x4. So I want it high enough to prevent water incursion during deep water crossings.

3. I want it pointed forward, if possible with little or no obstructions. So the sound isn't reflected back into the truck. I want it as loud as possible.
