Pretty sure this is a stupid question. Happen to look at the Fordpass app. It said the tire pressures were 44 front and 43 rear. So checked the dash. It said the same thing. I then checked with a gauge..same thing. The tires were cold. Truck had been sitting for several hours. Any reason the pressures would not match that stated on the production sticker other than the dealership forgot to adjust the pressures after receiving it? I haven't called them yet.

whats on the production sticker?

Remember, tire pressure varies with tire temperature. Assuming a constant tire volume when nearly inflated, the absolute tire pressure varies inversely with the absolute temperature. Here is a chart assuming a recommended tire pressure of 35 psig at 70 F.
27479

so maybe they were filled to 35psi with a very low outside temp, then transported to a place with a much higher outside temp.

Thanks. I understand all that. Hot tires in my experience may only rise 4 PSI not 10. At least not where I live. Just wanted to make sure Ford didn't do something weird. Dealer never responded. Any way, case closed. I adjusted the pressure to where it should be.

Band aides? Kool aides? Lemon aides? Medic aides? you should know the thread rules, and they are " Be more specific ".

But vague is entertaining.

It could be that the tires were over inflated at the factory with the expectation that the tire pressures wouldn't looked at for a long time or for shipping purposes. Then again, when I got the new tires on my truck, the tire shop completely ignored the door jamb sticker and pumped them up to 40 psi right off the bat.

Pretty much everyone has been reporting high psi on delivery. Apparently they put high pressure in for shipping and the dealer should lower it , but it seems most miss this. Mine were 42 psi or so and my optional 18" rims call for 30psi, you are not alone:cool:

I once seen a sandwich with mayo on swiss.

You turkeys are really hamming it up now.

I see what you did there...
