There is a fairly new color lock tight, orange. It's supposed to be as strong as red, but as easy as blue to take off. I haven't personally tested any yet. There was a manufacturer website that was giving away test sample, not sure if that's still going on.

I never got my sample, so I think they underestimated that campaign...

I've got the tranny all cleaned up and the slave cylinder out.

Is there any reason to open up the cover behind the slave cylinder? Or just surface clean and call it good?

Don't pull that front cover off the transmission, it holds all the oil in and has a little bit of bearing preload on it and is just sealed with RTV...

copy that. i didn't pull it. working on getting the tranny back in now. what a beast with that front cross member.

any tricks to getting the stamped bracket to seat into those upper bolts. I can sit under the tranny and wrap my hands around both side (even touch my fingers together) but I can't seem to get that bracket in with the tranny about 1/2" from the block.

nevermind. my brain is mashed potatoes. I was trying to get it between the plate and the bellhousing. sheesh.
