Ticking after cam synchro replacement

Just finished installing a new cam synchronizer in my 02 b3000 after the original started chirping. I fired it up, runs fine- but now there’s a ticking noise. Was pretty loud when I first started the engine up, but now it’s quieted down. Still driving me nuts with worry. I revved the engine, the entire thing seems to run just fine. It sounds kind of like lifter tick. Any idea what it could be?

Disregard, found it- the plug i pulled to check for tdc had a bit of a leak around it. Gave it a good wrenching on and the noise went away.
