First off, my names Mike........Compton. I'm not an idiot, but not a seasoned mechanic either lol. Well I never thought I'd own a Ranger, let alone a 2wd Ranger. But I had some money and there was one at a local auction. And well she got me at first site :bawling:

I bid 1100 and taxes and fees brought it to just about 1500.

She's got 115k or so and not much rust. The only problems I've had have been a broken spark plug, and the o2 sensor blowing out of the exhaust after the left manifold. Other than that, it takes a good beating I'd say :)

Well this site has been pretty awesome so far and aided me in a lot of fixing so far!

welcome to the site an nice looking ranger man

Welcome to TRS! got some idea of what you want to do to it? with it?

I'll use this quote since it's the last post. But honestly, I'm most likely going to leave 90% stock.

Here's my for sure list:

Sounds/Visuals
High End Pioneer Stereo
Component speakers(Pioneer)
2-12" Flat Subs(Pioneer)
One piece headlights
Euro lights idk about this one though....
Fog lights

Limo tint on rear
Less on doors

Performance
Some type of exhaust
Replace some of the intake tubing(Stock CAI imo)

Maybes
18" rims for the summer......idk.
lambo doors
Maybe a set of headers
351w if the 3.0 blows up lol
Rebuild the 3.0 since it's a very good motor imo.

Pretty much your daily beater.

Welcome to TRS~!

Sounds like you might want to just trade it in on a Super Cab with all the hardware you want to put in the cab...lol...unless, of course, you're going to mount the speakers in the bed (not recommended, but it has been done)...

Nice truck too...but is that a tonneau cover in the back or an armadillo?

Post up how those flat 12's sound when you put them in. I'm thinking about 1 of those, or a 10" regular Pioneer.

Where is detroitish?

Thats what I was wondering.

Mr. Compton,

Well it's about damn time. And welcome. :headbang:

351 Windsor ---> Detroit-ish ---> it's only natural to go with that motor! Make sure to post up pics when you do!

On the border of Canadish...or is it Britishish?

What I was thinking. :thefinger:

My thoughts on that particular mod:

Well if I got a Super Cab I'd just get something bigger, a 4.0 doesn't get good enough MPG for me to pick it over a 94 Bronco and the rear seats are USELESS. But the flat subs fit fine and my brother does custom audio, or used to at least lol. To answer the Tonneau Cover question: No, it's about 100,000 dollars worth of medicine we had to throw away for my sister's Dialysis machine, they changed her meds and they have no use for the old one and will not take it back......... You cannot sell it either because it's a federal offense. Detroitish is near Detroit lol. I live within about 12 Miles of Detroit and don't want to give out my city, never know what douchebags are searching the internet now-a-days lol. I said maybe on the lambo doors lol. The Pioneer IB flat subs bang good for metal/rock but not the greatest for rap, still thumpin but not shakin the block lol.

Wow, sorry...I realized it was boxes after I took a good look at it...I dated a girl once (well, for two years actually) and when she got her at-home dialysis system she had a similar stash, but I don't think she ever kept more than a box or two around...but, then again, she lived in a big city with access to suppliers...
