Got The Tubing Bender Today!!!!

Anyone following this build? Always looking for comments on the truck.

subscribed... looks good to me so far, cant wait to see it finished. where did you guys get the tubing bender at? i used to be able to use one at a shop in town but they closed down a few months ago so ive got alot of tubing and no way to bend it

got some more work done today... going with u-bolt less leafspring mounts.. going to use 6 3/8 bolts to bolt the plates together...

o and here is the bender...

It's going to put all the stress on the welds and where you welded the perch to the tube...

I like the idea of a bolt surrounding the entire tube, putting all the stress there. Not saying it won't work, Im just a lil skeptikal.

there is going to be more bracing going on.. i think it will be alright... i hope lol

It does put way more stress on the welds going with this style setup. the nice thing about this is that you dont have to change to a different u-bolt everytime you undo them. plus with the way that they clamp the spring they provide much better resistance to axle wrap.

Really the only reason i suggested it to rob was because rob is a very good welder.

Now you need to make a stand for the bender.

thanks for the comments guys.. im going hydro on the bender.. got my other 2 dies in today.. so thats a 1.75 5.5 clr a 1.625 5.5 and a 1.5 4.5clr going with the HF 8 ton ram... be starting on the stand soon..
