I just stumbled onto this build and it looks great! I did the SOA on the back of my X but I haven't figured out a way to do the rear shocks yet. They're just bolted into the sway bar brackets for now. I haven't done any wheeling with it yet but I'd like to get that solved before I do take it out. Also, bout how much would you say that bumper you're building weighs? I think if it gets too heavy, it'll end up squattin the front a little. I plan to exocage mine someday to try and save the body and put stingers front and rear.

bumper in front only weighs in about 75-90lbs. rear is 100+.

its nice for expedition wheeling or mall crawlin but for rock crawling and the like, it sucked. i destroyed my approach with it. but it went to a toyota guy that gave me 450 for it, which bought my steel for bumpers, sliders, and left me with extra for my wifes tires on her dakota.

ok I finished the rear, almost totally finished the front as well.. it needs some grinding and flap disc'ing it. don't mind the date on the camera. i didn't set it.

I will be putting the clevis mounts in the front asap, after I get my job.

Thoughts?

So I was bored today, unemployed, and decided I wanted to fire up my welder. I looked around and found some 3/4" square tube with a semi thick wall and decided I had enough to build a roof rack. Used my sawzall for cutting so nothing was PERFECTLY straight as far as cuts but anyways...

46" wide, 53 1/2" long. rack is 6" tall

How it started...
