Planning on making it out there this weekend. Assuming the wheel's don't fall off on my test drive tonight, and the truck doesn't kill me on the way out there. Nothing like the last minute wrench-a-thon right before a wheeling trip :icon_twisted:

Holy crap! That sucks about the caliper. Oh and by the way good luck on truck of the month. I voted for ya!

Thanks! I took it for a bit of a drive, and with a differnt combination of parts, it looks like the key might stay in palce now. I need to put a few more miles on it though before I swear its fixed.

It looking pretty dang likely that I'll make it out there.

Truck is mostly back together at this point, and rolling on the TWF wheels and tires right now as well. It looks like I had a janky insert that was causing me my issues. So far, I've put about 30 miles on it driving it around last night, and bringing it into work today.

So there's alot of little detail junk left to do right now, but all that really needs to be done prior to this trip is to slap the belly skid back on, load it up with my trail junk, and hope that where ever my leak from my PS system is doesn't get worse until after I get back from the trip (not sure if the pump is leaking, or the High Pressure Lline is leakig at the pump).

1354 Manual Linkage
This turned out to be a bit of a pain in the but to figure out, as the D.D. kit has a bump out that blocks direct access to the linkage. This is becomes even more of an issue if you clock your case up as I have.

For the Arm on the case, I wound up using part of the clutch linkage off an older F series pickup, and slapped it on the case. It turns out that the splined hole on the arm fits the T case side perfectly. If it winds up giving me trouble, I’ll come up with something else:

The linkage part went through several renditions to make it work. Ultimately I settled on a J shaped rod that used the same pivot point that the doubler linkage used.:

All the way back is 2H, all the way forward is 4L:

It’s nice to be able to slap a lever around as opposed to messing with the push button (I like my instant gratification). If you could get a 2 low setup similar to what available with the 231’s (or 205/D300’s) I’d be a very happy camper. I still need to come up with a boot or something to cover the hole in the floor, but it’ll work for now.

I just used 3/8 rod ends and threaded rod for my linkage. I like how I can adjust it if needed.

One of the first renditions was something like that, but it fell by the wayside as I went through v2.0 - v3.0. I can't imagine needing to adjust it that often. Though, I suppose the t-case did try to go for a walk :icon_twisted:

It just made it easy to adjust once I had it all hooked up to make the shifter where I wanted it. That's what I meant.

Ah, gotcha :icon_thumby:

I'm loaded up and ready to head out tomorrow. Hopefully the truck won't kill itself on the way out to interlake :icon_twisted:

I would like to get mine done so I can take the long trips. Interlake looks interesting

Random question from a few pages back, did you have to do any mod's to your hood/hinge to clear the larger dodge master cylinder resevoir? I've gotta pick one up for my truck here soon....

Its a huge place! But not that hard to wheel, unless its wet. Then its a whole new ball game!

I still haven't seen all of the park from my prior two trips out there.

Will do! And don't worry, there will be other runs, and I'm still hoping to make it down to TB within the next year.

No hood mods. Both the Dodge MC and the F350 MC Clear with ease, but if you don't have the fitting for that large goofy port on the F350 MC, good luck finding it!

did you still end up going? i figured yall would cancel since the rain. that place turns into a swamp.
