Sorry the dark pictures... Freakin iPhone. It's a vinyl boot attached to the stock bezel and the bottom of the tap. I love it.

i despise budwieser but that looks sick, well done. :icon_thumby:

I also picked up a Budwiser beer tap that will soon find its place as the shifter. I don't like Budwiser, but the tap is red, they are American, and that's right up my alley, not to mention it was CHEAP. Stay tuned. This is going to be a good weekend....

Sorry but the "Great American Lager" has been owned by a European Company (InBev) since 2008. At least it is still brewed in the U.S.A. and they employ many Americans.

I do like the shifter though:icon_cheers:

Lol. That's what I meant. They are brewed in Saint Looie

Snagged another pic.

I love it.

Thanks for the complements fellers!

Well, it's been a lil while (not long enough fer some of you fawkers :flipoff2: ) but lil red has been rode hard and put up wet since I last posted out it.

I have been driving 100 miles a day with the house, and actually using the truck as a work bench at the house. Well, you a neglected vehicle with 210k of hard driving on it, and put it on the road 100 miles a day, shit tends to break. And it did.

Last weekend the brakes finally went to hell and took the wheel bearings with them. I didn't have time to change them, so I drive dads HD. In 4 days, I spent over 100 bucks in fuel and said "screw this!"

This is where some good info for you junkyard dogs like me come in...

XLT brakes on a 2001 2wd coil spring truck are about 2" bigger than a 99 sport

Actually the spindle itself is different. The ball joints and TREs and wheel bearings are all the same, it's just the Part of the spindle on the back is wider so the caliper mounting bracket, which is similar to the 99 but with different mounting surfaces, can be moved out far enough to fit the wider brake rotors.
Just thought anyone looking for a cheap upgrade in front brake rotors who is running a 98-2000 truck would like to know this about the newer trucks.

Needless to say, I didn't have time for this, so I spent 110 bucks on new parts from Autozone, and lil red is back keeping the roads hot.

What size are the bigger rotors? I know the sport trac rotors are 12" and are an upgrade for the ranger, was told it is a bolt on upgrade, but haven't been able to verify...

I'd say 11 or 12. It is a bolt on upgrade, but it requires using the donor vehicle spindles. Maybe on the 01+ it's a direct bolt on swap. I will measure it after work

Well, after owning the lil dude for 13 months, lil red has moved on.

Here is the farewell picture

97 f150 Lariat 4x4 3 door auto 4.6. I traded lil red even for it. It does have a rebuilt title, but I'm ok with that.

not a bad little trade:icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

now you can do one of those "Raptor" builds like Ian on Xtreme4x4:D

l8r, John

i want a 1/2 priced raptor! it was pretty sweet

Na, just get it cleaned up. I miss my Harley truck more than any other vehicle, so I will likely make this one similar. If I do keep it, I'll likely go with the 5.4 though.

The seats are in "good" condition. A couple of ciggerette burns, stitches splitting, but the leather itself is in good shape

New pics of the truck.

Got the exhaust fixed, and the radio installed. Still a few little bugs to work out, but its getting there.
