The 2019 'Loan Ranger', and 2019 Ranger Adventure

Be nice if you could get them programmed to one single multifunction fob,

Be nice if you could get them programmed to one single multifunction fob,

Most newer Ranger's have WIFI, it could be neat to be accessories wirelessly thru that.

It might already be a thing, I don't know. I just thought of it.

Hmmm...

How about Bluetooth and a “fob” we already carry?

I started mocking up the bed with all the stuff I'll be carrying on my adventures.

Since I can't drill any holes in to the bed, I laid down a sheet of plywood, and bolted my bed box to it with carriage bolts. I doubled up the plywood where the Hi-Lift will sit, and it will be held in place with carriage bolts and wing nuts. The Scepter gas and water cans will be secured with ratchet straps and tie down points that are actually in front of and behind the cans. The cooler will be strapped down as well. I got a pair of X-Bull traction mounts that will attach to the front of the bed box.

I'm going to use a ratchet strap on each side of of the bed box to hold it down. Even though it's bolted to the plywood, the straps will help hold the plywood down to the bed.

Once I got everything organized, I took it all back out and coated the plywood with some spray on bed liner.

Now I just have to get it all put it.

Nice work Jim. Looks good. I love when things have a place, and it is put in that place. Very organized, looks like you've done this before.:icon_thumby:

Not exactly, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once.

I like it. I'm thinking of doing something similar to my 2011 in the extended cab since I no longer have small children who can sit back there and be comfortable. Anything to help organize the gear and keep things from being stolen or bouncing around.

@Jim Oaks

could you bolt the plywood to the bed using the bed bolts? or getting longer ones and this way it is able to reach the nuts underneath?

Probably need to put a metal sleeve in the plywood so that you can torque it down without crushing the plywood, but I would think that would give you some extra bolt down options. You could then drill holes in the plywood and place T nuts or blind nuts underneath to bolt things down or even place some D rings into the plywood for aditional tie down points

Keep the pics coming, this is looking great!

following along on IG, seeing some nice rides?

Hard to believe you are on your way home already, kind of weird it is only a weekend long event. I would have thought it would have been a week long thing.

The event went on today as well, but I decided to leave and explore. I wasn't up to another cold night of camping. I'm camping in another part of Arizona, and it's actually a very comfortable temp. I look forward to doing a write up about when I get home.
