Mine personally is the Gerber Diesel. Just plain is something I have to have with me all the time including the 6 months I was in CCU in 2007. Just had to have it sterilized to keep it there. LOL

What's yours????

Sorry all Gerber toters.
Grab up any Leatherman, and you will never go back.
I've had both Leatherman's and the other, hands down Leatherman. I owned my first PST for about 15 years, until some a**hole stole it. Since then I've bought a Wave, micra, and a skeletool. Tim Leatherman had it right.
P.S. I only have three stickers on my truck:
Oldtown canoes
Leatherman
and now TRS.
I only sponsor the best! Again, sorry to rain on the other "multi-tool".

+1 on the multitools regardless of brand i happen to have a letherman wave an its well worth the price have used it many many times

Im sorry for all you poor people stuck using a multitool that Isn't a Swiss Army knife.

I personally had mine for almost 25 years. And I got it used. I can't walk out of the house without having it in my pocket. Mines the big one.

And I will admit in a heartbeat. No its not the best tool. But its the best tool when you don't have a tool.

Hmmmm.... I'd go for medium sized pump pliers. They grab hard and you can beat the sh*t out of things with them haha.

Leatherman...right... THE problem I had with them is that they don't honor warranties.

I have a 10 year old craftsman multi-tool. never had a problem with it, and I beat on it pretty hard.

Multi tools are nice, but my one tool would be my tool box, MWUHAHAHA....lol

On a serious note, my 7" snap on flat head screwdriver is my favorite tool. After that, I have a pair of end nippers (my lead hand calls them horse trimmers) as they cut wire 100x better then regular side cutters.

And unless ya buy a high end model you have to flip it inside out. Love to really grip it hard and make those tool marks in my palms. That's why I gave mine away. Now If the leatherman is your tool that's cool. I prefer Gerber and they do honor the warranty. Sent it back with a broken knife and they fixed it, cleaned it and said if it happens again send it back. US millitary uses it too. Leatherman makes outstanding products but mine is Gerber.

i had a B.A. Victronix multi tool but i lost it, makes me so mad, it wasnt a whole multi tool but it was like a swiss army knife but cooler

same here also. vice grips are great to have . its my hammer, sheet metal bender, C clamp, vice. finger pincher.:temper:

dont forget about the bolt rounding.

my favorite tool is some wrench thing i found. its like an open end but has ridges on the sides....when i find it ill get pics. i dont know how to explain it

Real plain pliers, like the vice grip they can do about anything only they are easier to carry.

Kind of odd, vice-grips can be the both the worse cause of rounded bolt heads... but also sometimes a pretty effective fix for rounded bolt heads if they can get a good bite.

is it one of those wrenches that is supposed to take out any condition of bolt?
