I think @LearningStick has one that should be investigated. Even though big gulps had been out for many moons,. My 04 ranger cup holders only fits coffee mugs and 12oz cans.

This is why when I built the center console for my one Ranger I did a bit of R & D to come up with a plan. Don’t think that I didn’t think about patenting it either. I did some blocking and bored down each side and fit it with 3” ABS pipe couplings. Now it sounds a bit Redneck, and, we’ll, it really kinda is, but it actually works remarkably well. Cans fit down in and come out easy, every drink cup I’ve used fit, my old travel coffee mug that fit about no cup holder ever but survived at least 3 tumbles off of a truck fit the most secure of anything tried, and my one favorite, a Yeti, think it was a lowball or something, won the thing and it’s short but it sits nice on the collar in the middle of the fitting.

Hello, all.

Just bought my second ranger. A 99 XLT 4x4 4.0 5speed. It's immaculate. The nicest truck I've ever owned.

I've been through the gauntlet of tuners and muscle cars. DSM, Fbodies, etc. I'm all down for mods, but at my age right now I need a solid commuter with tasteful accessories. So no lifts, no huge light bars, no painting the interior.

I like the relative stock look on trucks, but mods can be tasteful. I've been really considering the hurst shifter. That seems proper. I am gonna order some 235-75-15 tires. I got husky floor mats and wind / rain guards.

Any other recommendations?

Torsion twist to level the front if it isn't already. My old '99 sat level, my '02 was low in front so I twisted the torsion bars up.
235/75-15 is the stock size. I'd go a little bigger with a 265/75-15 (factory option) or 31x10.50-15 (same size).
Bug deflector, keeps stone chips off the hood.
Vinyl tonneau if you don't have one already.
Bed mat.

It depends on what your end goal is. Do you want to keep the stock look but turn it into a bit of a sleeper? Do you just want a slightly modified look? Tasteful is in the eye of the beer holder.
