SWEET, nother $500 score, 1996 Mustang GT

I was about to say that for ya. But damn nice find... I've been wanting a mustang of that gen lately... I wish you were closer I'd just have you find these kind of deals for me, you're the master of $500 deals :icon_rofl:

my stx was one of those type of deals.....500 and it needed like 50 bucks in electric crap

o yea and im looking into another stx. needs work but that one will be my trail truck

If you don't have the keys, just take out the lock from the passenger side door and take it to your local friendly locksmith. He will be able to make a new key from the information stamped on the lock. He will probably ask you for proof of identity or ownership. We had to do the same thing on Saturday morning due to my neighbour loosing his car keys. Cost, 20 dollars and took about ten minutes.

except for the fact that on this year ford the door key and the ignition key is different

I understand that you have been around the block and know your stuff, but I would double check the keys to make sure they are different. I had a 94 mustang GT and the ignition and door lock used the same key... it was the trunk key that was different.
But mine was a 94 and maybe a 96 is different... by the way, that was a steal for $500

most of my fords have always used different keys, the only time ive had one key is when the doors and ignition were keyed by a locksmith at the same time

When did they start with the different key stupidity again, my 91 exploder only has one key.

what scares me is that u work on vehicles and yet u ask this question....whats the world coming to

in ny, some gts got the 6 cylinder, my friend has one he bought new. its a gt with a 6 in it. thats why i asked. im not the most familiar with stangs of fords in general. if you read my sig, youll know im a die hard chevy guru. :icon_twisted:

besides. im entitled to one stupid question a day. im a certified special needs member.:icon_twisted: just ask doorgunner :icon_rofl:

I had a 94 mustang, I only needed one key for the doors, trunk and ignition.
